Mother Holiday

I did not even think about the great quantity of written poems and songs about mothers before. And on Thursday (March 4th) I heard many such songs and some of them really touched my soul very deeply. In fact I am also a daughter and I have a mother. Mother, whom I love very much and to whom I am really thankful for everything she gave me. For love, for a caress, for caring.

Each of us has a mother and each of us will agree with P.Sinyavskii, who wrote these lines of poem. On the 4th of March a Theatre-studio "Alpha and Omega" prepared for mothers a special evening. Such evenings became traditional and they take place every year and they are special every year. We, mothers, felt the love and gratitude of our children. In fact, everything done by them was done with love. Gifts made with own hands, and prepared competitions and musical performances, and food, care and attention, that were showed to us by our children during the whole evening.

I heard songs sung by Ruslan Guzanov, but this kind of song, which he sang for us that evening, was directly to be childish, and it was very touching. I think that his mother Nina remembered how he sang the same song when he was 6. All mothers and guests, without an exception, listened to the play of saxophone of Misha Nikonenko. And the song of Alyona Iotko affected hearts of everyone – mothers and children. During her performing, every child came up to mother. My daughter sat down to me, firmly hugged and we listened to the song like this. Tears stood on eyes. Thank you Alyona.

I really liked all competitions for mothers. Especially it was an interesting one: during 15 minutes in a friendly manner people, sitting at a table had to write a poem. Verses had one theme, but they were so different, and it was very interesting to listen to results of this creation. We had 3 teams of mothers and we competed all the time. But friendship won. And one of the teams:)

Everyone liked this special evening. And I on behalf of all mothers would like to say many thanks to Julia Gaidai for carrying such necessary ministry, for her care, attention and love to our children. Such different, sometimes with problems (children have more serious problems, than adults have, because they are beginning to live and can be lost sometimes), with mood changes, with whims. But she has love and understanding for them. And everyone from Theatre-studio calls her their "second mother".

And certainly I want to say many thanks to our children. Praise God that we have you, that you are with Christ, that you carry this service. Thank you for this evening, unfortunately, they are just once a year. It unites. And, unfortunately, there are no such evenings for dads. I am sure, they would like them.

And now I want to congratulate all girls, women, mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, grandchildren on the Holiday of spring, to wish them all abundant God’s blessings: love and care, wisdom, joy. I wish to mothers: may your children always make you happy, your husbands love and respect you. And wish to all of us to be, first of all, Maries and just then Marthas, to be wise as Esther and Devora, faithful as Ruth. Happiness to you and spring mood. Faith! Hope! Love!
