In Zelenodol’sk

The real event for the habitants of Zelenodol'sk city became a concert with participation of a music group «X-Press» and theater-studio «Alpha and Omega», which passed in CC «Jubilee» on July, 18, 2009.

Evangelization is a major work of Youth Christian Center «Alpha and Omega», that’s why we are always glad to the new opportunities to share God’s love with other people. Nowadays, when spirituality is out of fashion, we assert, that exactly spirituality is a basis of valuable development of personality and execution of our calling on this earth. Spiritual life is begun with the personal relations with God. In spite of the fact that Ukraine is officially considered as a christian country and the every third person will call him\herself a believer, but just few can tell you about personal relations with God. Besides to talk about Christ in public is prohibited… But we are not ashamed to talk about That One, Who changed and continues to change lives of many people, filling them with sense and love, granting a hope and confidence in a morrow. Young people of the «Alpha and Omega» say «NO!» to smoking, drugs, alcohol and other vices of society. We could proclaim a message about this from the stage of Zelenodol’sk Culture Centre. «X-Press» successfully used a music of language for this purpose, theater-studio – language of mimicry and gestures, charming an audience by a pantomime «Light and darkness», Ruslan and Ann shared their testimony about their way to faith in God, pastor Aleksey Navrotsky shared God’s Word, made everyone think about importance of the following after Christ. In general, our concert became the real event for the habitants of small town.

«In our town similar events – rareness, I am very happy therefore, that a group “X-Press” came. I have everyone’s signatures now» - said Max, spectator.

«It was super! It pleased me very much. Both musicians and theater are cool fellows!» it is Evgeniya, helper.

«We were glad to come to Zelenodol'sk again. A few years back we came here, and today I saw a few acquainted guys even. Good stage, good light and excellent sound. Organization was at a high level, we were very well received. It was felt by applauses, that the audience also liked us» - said Ruslan, leader of group «X-Press».

«Everything went well, an atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Although there were less people, than we expected, there was a good contact with public. A barrier was not between a spectator and stage. Present young people actively reacted on questions from the stage, people felt free to befit and socialize with musicians after concert» - Slavik, one of organizers of the concert.

«I consider that our main purpose was attained: people could hear Word of God and to do the proper conclusions. I hope that it is not the last concert in this town» - pastor Aleksey Navrotsky.

«I’m glad that it was succeeded to conduct this evangelization. Thanks to all, who helped in organization, thanks to all participants and helpers. I am from America and I have been working work in Zelenodol'sk already more than six years, organizing summer schools of English and Bible study. We had similar events repeatedly, but today it was, perhaps, the best concert from those, that I attended», is Terry Froezi, main organizer.
