An invitation to help

Once upon a time there was a young man who was very proud of the fact that he had many friends. One day he met his love and decided to get married.

His father made the preparations for the wedding and also sent out all the invitations. The day of the wedding came. But on this joyful day, not one of the groom’s friends was in attendance. The young man became very angry and asked his father:

-Why didn’t you send my friends invitations to the wedding?

The father answered:

-I sent them. But instead of invitations I sent sign-up sheets for helpers.
